Bakezori Books x KWhite Studio Collaboration

I was approached by my good friend, Leila Odagaki, to do a collaborative body of work with her and her shop Bakezori Books. Me and her are both huge plant lovers. Bakezori Books is covered wall to wall in greenery and plant life. So, she thought it would be a fun collaboration for me to make plant pots and she can decide what plants could go in them. With complete creative liberty, I made a small collection of 20 pots ranging from different sizes, shapes, colors, and firing techniques. I stamped a book emblem on the pots to signify Bakezori Books, and my 希亜奈 (Ki-a-na) stamp, for a true combination of our two brands. Lei put all beginner friendly plants in the pots to ensure anyone could love and take care of them. Plants ranged from Linden, Rhipsalis, Parlor Palm, Ash Tree, and others. She spent a lot of time decided what plants would match the pots best. This collaboration was a lot of fun to work on as my first, getting to combine my passion for ceramics and plants.
